The Executive Bureau (EB) for the Accelerating of Aid Absorption and Supporting Policy Reforms is an institutional mechanism that was established by Presidential Decree No. (2) of 2013 for the aim of providing support and oversight for the implementation of the Mutual Accountability Framework.
It ceased operations in early 2015 due to the war that broke out following the coup by the Houthi militia. It was re-established in 2019 with a focus on supporting government efforts in priority areas such as electricity, food security, and the economy.

The executive branch is currently focusing on supporting government efforts in priority areas such as electricity, food security, and the economic field, by enhancing the ability of state institutions to improve the absorption of donor pledges through effective partnership with donors in setting priorities and following up on the implementation of interventions and ensuring their effectiveness, as well as in developing and implementing policies. Reforms that improve the ability of the state and its institutions to meet basic needs and improve the standard of living of citizens.

Enhancing the capacity of state institutions to improve absorption of donor commitments, which leads to an increase in the volume of investments in Yemen and an improvement in the level of services provided to citizens.

Developing and implementing reform policies that will improve the efficiency and effectiveness of state institutions, which leads to strengthening governance and combating corruption.

Building the capacity of human resources in state institutions, which leads to improved performance and quality of services provided to citizens.
Despite the challenges facing Yemen, the EB continues its efforts to support the government in achieving its development goals.
