The Yemeni prime minister on Wednesday paid a visit to the Executive Bureau for the Acceleration of Aid Absorption and Support for Policy Reform (EB), and was briefed on the Bureau progress and achievements since its activity resumption in 2019.
PM Ahmed Bin Mubarak held a meeting with EB chairperson, Dr. Afrah al-Zooba, and other officials to discuss EB inventions in support of the legitimate government through studies and technical policies as part of its agenda based on monitoring the joint responsibilities and funds pledged by donors.
The meeting also addressed the EB plans to build partnerships with the private sector in electricity, with focus on renewable energy, as well as real partnerships with donors and support needed to achieve duties.
The EB has an vital, important role in accelerating the absorption of donors pledges to back the government's policies of institutional building, boosting the capacities of human resources, and correcting any shortages hindering the donor-funded projects, Bin Mubarak said.
The government is committed to support the EB work and closely cooperate with its leadership to find solutions for urgent properties affecting the life of the people, he added.
The government priority is to enhance the principle of transparency, accountability, counter-corruption, actual reforms, and other requirements that would help achieve the impact needed for development and easement of public sufferings, PM, also foreign minister, Dr. Bin Mubarak said.
The government has no option but to succeed in this extraordinary period, he added, "despite the huge outstanding challenges that require unification of all the efforts, the good use of every opportunity, and the enhancement of relations with Yemen's partners."
The meeting was attended by advisor to PM, Adnan Abduljabar, and Ambassador Mujeeb Othman.
